Arizona Section Summer Meeting
August 4-6, 2010

Collaboration and Adaptive Management - Applications on the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest

This summer the Arizona Section of the Society for Range Management provides an excellent example of how collaboration and adaptive management principles are applied on the X Diamond Ranch, Springerville, Arizona. The field sessions focus on how range scientists, agency managers, consultants, and ranchers have identified and resolved some key management issues to optimize ranching needs, while providing for sensitive species and changing Forest needs. The newsletter linked below has the information, agenda, lodging, maps, and registration information for the meeting. Registration is due by July 30, 2010.
