As a Natural Resource Specialist, they worked directly with ranchers and farmers across the Tucson area and the Tohono O'odham Nation to design and implement essential conservation practices. Director of North Nomination:

Jake Hennig

An Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist with the School of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Arizona. I’ve been in Arizona for the past 2 years and have fallen in love with the incredible diversity of ecosystems and people that this state offers. Before my time here, I lived in Wyoming, Colorado, and Oklahoma working on feral horse and burro issues, cattle foraging behavior, and rangeland wildlife ecology and management. My focus in my current position is to build extension and research programs to help sustain the multiple uses of public and tribal lands and I believe that serving on the board of AZ SRM will assist me in achieving those goals.

Director of South Nomination:

Amy Ganguli

A Rangeland Professor and Extension Specialist at the University of Arizona with more than twenty years of experience in arid and semi-arid rangeland systems. Her work focuses on ecological monitoring, restoration, and adaptive management strategies on private and public lands that support both healthy landscapes and the communities that rely on them. She has led numerous collaborative research and outreach efforts, partnering with federal agencies, ranchers, tribal nations, and conservation groups across the Southwest.

A long-time member and active contributor to the Society for Range Management, Amy is committed to strengthening the connection between science and on-the-ground practice. She has been a dedicated mentor to students and early-career professionals and values SRM as an inclusive community for learning and leadership. As Southern Director, she aims to enhance engagement within the Arizona Section, support meaningful professional development, and promote collaborative, locally grounded rangeland management solutions.
